Describing beneficiaries - Italy

The FG involved representatives of the five categories, to which the H&O project is addressed: local administrations (2), professionals from cultural and heritage organizations (7), providers of tourism services (4), adult educators (5), adult learners (3).
The representatives of local administration came from the Municipalities of Amalfi and Maiori. Amalfi was represented by a member of the “Forum of the Young”, a social organisation promoted by the administration to offer young people the possibility to exchange views with local administrators, to make suggestions and proposals. From Maiori, the alderman for cultural aspects came to present their experience with respect to the important cultural site in Maiori, the ancient abbey S. Maria dell’Olearia.
Cultural and heritage organisations were represented by:
-the Archaeological Superintendent for the provinces of Salerno, Benevento, Avellino and Caserta;
-the Superintendent of the historic, artistic and ethno-anthropological heritage of the abovementioned provinces;
-a professional from the Superintendence of the Architectural Heritage and Landscape for the provinces of Salerno and Avellino;
-three members of cultural associations (two coming from associations that deal with the conservation and valorisation of local heritage and one from WWF);
-the Director of Villa Rufolo in Ravello.
Tourism service providers participating in the FG were:
-a tourism consulting service that deals with meetings and workshop planning;
-a tourist guide;
-a local association that organizes cultural events about films;
-the president of the consortium of the main tourism and commercial promoters between Ravello and Scala, on the Amalfi Coast.

The five adult educators came from a public high school (1) that also organizes courses for adults, from the University (1), from a cultural association that has planned a project of the H&O (2), and from an important organisation that deals with professional training in public administration.
In addition, there were 3 adult learners, who attended a European course on lifelong learning about local heritage.
